    Welcome to My Website

    Hello there!

    This is Dan Conroy. I have created this website as a means of giving you access to information that will assist you in becoming the best possible you. I have been researching information on personal growth and self-development for almost fifty years. The Internet has allowed me to perform that task faster, with a plethora of resulting information. As a professional educator for most of my adult life I want to give back—to pay it forward—as a thank-you to the thousands of people I have learned from over the years. I want to share my expertise and knowledge with those that want to learn—to progress in their lives—to achieve their BIG dreams.

    It was a high school student that I met that got me to finally set up this website. I had been thinking about it for years. He inspired me to do something about it!

    It was that same high school student, Dimitri, who also suggested to me to put the information online with no strings attached—no copyright. After checking out a few websites {{1}} I decided not to copyright these materials. I thank these gentlemen: Salman Khan, Leo Babauta, Lawrence Lessig, and Richard Stallman for convincing me to grant full permission to use any of my content in any way the user likes.

    Feel Free to Steal My Content

    I have no copyright on this content. Use it however you want! Email it, share it, reprint it, with or without credit. While you are under no obligation to do so, I would appreciate it if you give me acknowledgement for any work of mine that you use, and ideally, link back to the original. I would much rather have my information spread freely everywhere by people sharing with others than being confined to those that are paying consumers of information. Who knows, maybe someone will take my work and extend the concepts and make it even more useful, to even more people.

    As Leo Babauta said on his website “Release control, and see what happens. People are wonderful, creative creatures. Let’s see what they can do.”{{2}}

    [[2]]From a blog post on Zen Habits[[2]]

    Salman Khan, on his homepage website, expresses it very clearly: “With over 3,200 videos on everything from arithmetic to physics, finance, and history and hundreds of skills to practice, we’re on a mission to help you learn what you want, when you want, at your own pace.”

    When you use this information you are not stealing from me as some people would believe, you cannot steal what is given freely. I call this sharing, not piracy.

    It is my fondest dream that you will give me feedback on this, and many more articles to come, so that I may give information of value and interest that will be used long after I have leave this planet. Information on studying, notetaking, listening, speaking, etc. will be forthcoming as I get the time to write them. I am still a full time professional educator and as such have commitments that take me away from writing for ten months of the school year.

    And, oh, by the way I am not adverse to money. If you have some and would like to give me a grant so I can do more writing, I would be pleased to receive it.

    Dan
